Healthwatch North East Lincolnshire is the consumer champion for local health and social care services. It takes the experiences that people have of local care and uses them to help influence change and bring about improvements to the health and social care services people receive. Healthwatch is a statutory service, and each Local Authority area in England has its own local Healthwatch service. Meeting New Horizons (MNH), which is part of the Hull CVS Group, holds the contract for the delivery of Healthwatch in North East Lincolnshire, and we are currently recruiting for the following position.

Patient Experience Officer

Salary: £20,000 pa

Location: Alexandra Dock Business Centre, Fisherman’s Wharf, Grimsby, DN31 1UL

Obtaining and utilising patient’s experiences of their health and care services forms the very foundation of the activity of Healthwatch, and we are now recruiting an exciting opportunity for a passionate and motivated individual to perform this pivotal role within our team at North East Lincolnshire.

The successful candidate will lead on designing and implementing an approach to gathering the experiences of people of all aspects of their healthcare, including hospitals, GPs, dentists, care homes, and all other health and social care services people can access. You will be responsible for devising different approaches and routes to gathering this feedback, as well as recording and analysing trends in the feedback received. You will also lead on our information and guidance function, ensuring that local people have access to information about health and social care services that is accessible and easy to understand.

You will be a self-starter with strong interpersonal and communications skills.  You should have a flexible approach within the team and you will be required to effectively plan and manage your programme of work in line with the wider delivery plan. The ability to effectively record and analyse feedback and activity will also be vital.
