Volunteering
Volunteers are crucial to the work of Healthwatch, whether by supporting our staff, engaging with the public at events or even assisting us in Enter & Views and research.
You can help us to reach as many people as possible to share their experiences and views on local services, this will help improve local services or provide information. Along the way you can also learn a great deal and gain new skills and experiences too.
We are always looking for assistance here at Healthwatch and can offer different roles to suit you. Please use the Volunteering tabs for more information.

Volunteer Comments
Our Volunteers have provided us with the following comments about what it is like Volunteering with us:
Freda
"I joined Healthwatch as a volunteer to be a voice for people who are in a situation where they may feel they are unable to make changes. There are no monetary rewards but the rewards you get are priceless. The people you speak to are grateful you’re actually thinking about them."
Janet
"As part of my degree I needed to carry out a placement within the Health & Social Care sector. I decided to join Healthwatch after one of the staff had given a talk at my University about Healthwatch, I felt Healthwatch would enable me to work in lots of different areas across of Health & Social Care."
Andy
"You meet lots of nice and interesting people, and then every now and then you think “yes I’ve made a difference and done something good."
Carol
"By volunteering, I have gained a better understanding of Healthwatch and I have been given a voice to contribute in making significant changes to the lives of those who not always heard."
